The range includes two models: the LeRoulé Plus manual wheelchair, with electric stand-up assistance and height adjustment, and the LeTriple Wheels, which combines hand and foot propulsion.
A conventional self-propelled manual wheelchair is propelled by hand using the large rear wheels. A combined chair such as the LeTriple Wheels can also be moved with the feet.
This gives people whose leg strength varies a choice: move with the feet when enough strength is available, or use the hands when additional support is needed.
It may suit people who can still move with their legs but whose leg strength is reduced or varies. The LeTriple Wheels lets users choose hand or foot propulsion according to their strength. It may be an option where neurological or muscular conditions affect leg function. Individual suitability needs to be assessed.
Alongside manual propulsion, the LeRoulé Plus offers 24 cm electric height adjustment, seat-position adjustment and stand-up assistance. These features let you set the chair for work surfaces, transfers and different activities, and vary your sitting position during the day.
It helps you reach cupboards, tables and work surfaces while seated and set an ergonomic sitting height for different tasks. The LeTriple Wheels offers a 30 cm range and the LeRoulé Plus a 24 cm range.
Aligning the seat with a bed or another surface can help with transfers, while raising it to a suitable height can help with standing up.
