About Sowecare
A mobility aids manufacturer since 1998, with people at the centre of everything we do.
Practical solutions from our own factory
Sowecare develops and manufactures indoor mobility chairs, wheelchairs and combined models that can be adapted to individual requirements.
In the Netherlands, we supply products mainly to major insurance companies, municipalities and care organisations. We also manufacture X-ray equipment frames for Philips Medical Systems. Around 30 people work at our facility in Almelo.

Around 80% of our employees have faced barriers to employment. We aim to provide lasting jobs where people can develop their skills and grow with the company.
We also ask suppliers for a corporate social responsibility declaration and consider these commitments when evaluating our supply chain.

Sowecare was founded in the Netherlands in 1998 and has exported its products across Europe since 2008.

We want to help people remain independent and mobile.
Quality and product development
Our production processes are checked annually and are ISO 13485 certified. Our work for Philips also involves production, supply-chain and quality controls, including checks by Philips alongside our own audits and supervisory inspections.
We focus on specialist needs that standard products may not fully meet. The LeTriple Wheels is one example of this approach.
During development, we draw on the experience of users and specialists, including occupational therapists. Their practical insights are combined with our manufacturing knowledge.
Our products comply with the European Medical Devices Regulation. We also check materials for environmental impact and harmful substances.
Customer experience remains important after a product is introduced. Feedback helps us improve quality and has contributed to the development of new products.
